HD brows exploded onto the salon scene a couple of years ago, and the trend isn’t going anywhere. All it takes is a quick scroll down our Instagram feed to see that everyone is loving the high-definition look. This is so much more than your average shape and tint. If you’re looking for the full package, this is it. In fact, it’s a 7 step treatment that takes 30 minutes, and can last around 3 week.
Read on to discover what goes on during a HD brow session.
Map out the brows. First things first, it’s time to find that perfect brow shape. Don’t worry if you don’t know, your brow artist will use your facial features to map out your ideal shape. Your brows should begin above your inner corner, and the end should be inline with the edge of your eye and nose. This will give you the perfect frame for your face.
Time to tint. If you’ve never tinted your brows, don’t be shy. The purpose of the tint is to colour all the baby hairs, which will give you that full-brow look. Your brow artist can mix the perfect shade for you. The tinting takes just a minute or two!
Wax. Once the tint is wiped off, it’s time to wax away any outlying hairs to get the perfect shape.
Threading. Why do we thread as well as wax? Well, when you wax, you can be left with a ‘wax line’ meaning there is a visible difference between the freshly waxed area and the other baby hairs on your face. Threading will help avoid this completely.
Plucking. We pluck as well, because we’re perfectionists! This is to ensure we have not missed a single hair.
Trim. Some clients will have wild brow hairs that drift all over your face. Trimming them makes them a little more manageable.
Makeup – Before any makeup is applied, your brow artists will show you how they look. Then, you’ll get a mini makeup masterclass on how to apply your eyebrow product to perfect your look when you’re at home. This is totally tailored to you, and is extra helpful if you have any sparse areas that need a little extra love.
The only thing left to do after that is snap a selfie or two! Don’t forget to use our new filters on Instagram to show off your look.
